AFL Great Joins Count Me In

AFL great Gavin Crosisca believes his experience over 20 years battling an addiction to alcohol and drugs while ‘holding down a job’ as an elite professional footballer in the AFL has him well equipped to perform his role as a Count Me In ambassador.

Crosisca, who was a member Collingwood Football Club’s 1990 premiership team, now has formal qualifications in drug and alcohol counselling and works tirelessly to break down the barriers and stigma that prevents people seeking help and support to change their use of alcohol and drugs.

As part of his role Gavin sat down and talked with Adrian Panozzo from Count Me In about how his exposure to alcohol and drugs started as a 15 year old, the influence of peer group pressure, and his role today helping others through the difficult journey from addiction to recovery.
